A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/ tongue/throat), redness of the ears, severe dizziness, trouble breathing.

When you put the drops in the ear, the glycerol helps to soften ear wax that has built up in the ear. The urea hydrogen peroxide releases oxygen, which helps to break up hardened ear wax. Tilt the head to the side so the affected ear is facing upwards. (For children it may be easier to get them to lie down on one side.)
